Christmas Blizzard of 2010

The sixth largest snowstorm in New York history buried the streets in four-foot drifts, brought transit to a halt and spread a strange and wonderful hush over the city. The Blizzard of 2010 dumped between 18 and 24 inches of snow – with 29 inches reported in parts of Staten Island – and winds gusts up to 60 mph. It was a blast roaming around taking photos of the city.

The Bentley Boys were a group of wealthy British motorists who drove Bentley sports cars to victory in the 1920s and kept the marque’s reputation for high performance alive. In 1925, as the marque foundered, Bentley Boy Woolf Barnato bought the company, leading to the creation of the famous supercharged Bentley Blower car. I’m not in the market for a new Bentley, but I am always looking for a new pair of goggles.
